I've just found myself listening to Memoirs, I don't know how it happend but all of the sudden I listened to Betcha Gon' Know. And when she mentioned her Cavlli shades I couldn't help but wonder about her and fashion.
Even though she loves fashion she has hardly been really fashionable except for the Butterfly era and maybe the eras of the debut, Rainbow, and E=MC˛, too. But she's never been really stylish. So it's quite comprehensible why the fashion scene nevery really embraced her.
But if there was a high-end fashion label that suits her it would clearly be Roberto Cavalli. His clothes are savvy, playful, and always a little excessive. His designs mostly reveal a tad too much and yet they are chic, sometimes a little bit cheap but in a fierce and precious kind-of-way. This glossy and seductive appeal is totally Mariah's style. I think they should cooperate. She could be part of a campaign, he could do the designs for her wardrobe of the next tour if that is ever going to happen. I think that would be a new take on her image. And it woud not only also be fun for her but lucrative, too, and we know Mariah loves to take some extra cash.
