I don't think I'd describe accidentally trespassing on a testing site as not 'listen[ing] to reason'. Anyway, if that happened in real life, the owner of the site (presumably the federal govt) is liable for failing to adequately secure the area. The presence of the beach makes for an attractive nuisance.

So, ultimately, that girl and the families of the deceased would get millions of dollars in compensation, and she could buy a mansion in the suburbs of Sydney and spend the rest of her days doing coke or something.

The video is a symbolic message that skipping or dropping out of school might seem like fun or a good idea at the time, but will lead to consequence and regret.

I had a friend who skipped his final exams (he was going to be a doctor) but he dropped out before he final exams to earn major bucks with his dad's business. He is owed $25k and now has to start he courses fresh and put himself two years behind where he could have been.

The symbolism (and humour) seems to have gone right over your head.

There was nothing literal about the add. It's the point it's making.

It's not my fault it's a lazy ad. Skipping school will most likely not result in your friends' blowing up in front of you.

It's one thing to regret skipping school and then re-doing your course, but it's another altogether to imply that the consequences of 'slacking off' are comparable to a violent death. The symbolism (if there is any) is suffocated by hyperbole and the very literal danger sign at the end of the video.

Stunnah has a point. the symbolism could've been executed a lot better in this ad. and although they were going for "humor" it didn't quite hit the mark.

slacking off in school (or skipping) doesn't equate to extreme horrible outcomes in real life that this ad is exaggerating.

What the hell

It's alerting kids that skipping or dropping out of school can f*ck up your life.

There are kids out there who are living off Centrelink (money given to them for free) because no one will employ them because they did **** at school.

Most employers call your school if you've just finished or left the premises. Most UNI's call your high school as reference before accepting you.

If they hear that you skipped school it can be game over. Your "life" is ruined because you stuffed up your chances of achieving your dream.

Skipping school DOES lead to extreme horrible outcomes if your aiming high. If you noticed the kids are in a super expensive private school meaning that they are studying towards something.
