She is so right
You just need to watch all those country awards, the best female section
it's not even funny anymore, we all know the 5 nominees before being released because there are only 5 women

I completely agree with her. It's because every country song sounds the same. Taste of Country brought up the fact that there is a lack thereof of country women. I highly agree on that because, let's be honest, the reason why they are 'flopping' is because everyone pays attention to the guys and their party songs. What female would want their songs overshadowed by those types of songs? Carrie was one of two females that were in the top 10 on the list of top country artists most played in 2013 on the radio. We've had people such as Shania and Faith to revolutionize country music for women and now look where it is at, barely scraping top 20s on the country charts. -_-

In 2012, only 3 females made it to #1 : Carrie, Taylor and Miranda.

The problem is radio airplay and sales aren't always proportional. You can have a huge radio success that doesn't translate to sales, and vice versa.

This is actually sad
But I guess you could count TBP as female. But Miranda, Taylor, Carrie (?), and Shania are working on new material so well see

You cannot count The Band Perry as a female act, cos they are a mixed gender Group. Same with Lady Antebellum, Thompson Square. The Pistol Annies count as a Female Group, but they are massively outsold by Male Groups such as Florida Georgia Line and The Zac Brown Band.
