Well Gaga messes up more because she dances more and because her choreo is a bit more complex than Katy's. But she can dance when she's not being sloppy.
Katy is not only stiff, but she has no rhythm and you can tell she feels extremely uncomfortable doing any kind of dancing.
When Katy does Marry The Night, Judas choreo then we can talk.. It's really so disrespectful to compare Gaga's dancing to Katy Perry's movements. . . Just because Gaga is not a professional doesn't mean she is not good. ATRL strikes again.

I think the issue is that while Gaga can carry the moves off well, the choreography itself is still rather awkward in its use of jazz hands, little poses and then big arm twirls and whatever else goes into the making of a Gaga routine.
Gaga is the better dancer, she can actually dance. She's not great or amazing, but she's good, and those are very few examples.
Katy can't really dance at all
Gaga's not great either, she's just (for the most part) really fit, so she can pull it off. But the choreography is more often than not really lame and basic.

Agree, i've never liked Gaga's choreography that much. I especially hate the Telephone choreo
Gaga is a really good dancer, if you watch some of her videos like LG, Alejandro, BR (VMA best choreography), Judas, MTN, BTW she's a really good dancer. It just depends on the choreo. Katy on the other hand, cannot dance at all soooo I guess I'll choose her.
