Taylor already has sold about 9 million albums this decade though in the US. Katy is probably on 3.5 million including Prism. That's already a huge gap of 5.5 million albums. The album market is declining every year, so it makes it harder to close the gap on those who have already made those sales.
Prism will be a successful album and will go 2 Plat in the US, but it's been out for 13 or 14 weeks already and still hasn't sold as much as Taylor's Red did in it's first week alone. Red will go 4 Plat this week. Prism will never go 3 Plat or even 4 Plat. It's already on it's 3rd single and is still miles away from 2 Plat.
When Taylor's album comes out later this year, depending on the release date it will probably sell more copies in 2014 than Prism does.
Queens are never number 1 anyway .. Madge, Britney, Gags
