It's not the snow, it's the BLACK ICE. The amount of bridges in our state alone with the ice has caused accidents across the state. If you can't get to work or school, why be on the road? There is a reason why there were curfews in place, in an effort to keep people off the roads. Just like we do during hurricanes. Emergency first responders can't properly get to others if traffic is backed up or if there are accidents happening every 15 minutes. We have some of the longest bridges in the country here. It's all fun and games until one 18 wheeler travelling with cargo swerves off the bridge into the basin and cars slam on breaks to avoid other vehicles in the process. It's a mess!
I mean my BMW and I nearly swerved off the freaking bridge on my way to work yesterday. It was like my car was ice skating with no skates. Ugh, I'm over winter, can it please be spring yet? I need it to get to the 90's because this weather is not the business.
And 110 °F is not stretching it for some Gulf States. Over here, the heat index during summers consistently range from 100-110°F with humidity, and in the evenings we are lucky to even drop to the freaking 80's, nevermind 70's at times. I prefer Southern Cal's weather. It gets super hot there sometimes too, but they for the most part, they have near perfect weather year round (not too hot and not too cold). San Diego and LA are my favorite places to visit no matter the time of the year.
