Joe and I figured out recently that the Your Top Ten forum was really killing our server, because every time the page was loaded, it had to serve up over 100 threads at a time (there were over 75 sticky threads in the forum). That's insane.

The only way to deal with it properly is to split it up into personal countdowns (Your Top Ten) and non-personal countdowns (a new sub-forum; name TBD). Sorry that's just the way it has to be. You heard it here first.

What does TBD means?

Most voting-based countdowns almost always get split into the second page, and it gets very annoying after a while. Thanks <3

Also, you can't lock and re-open your vote-based countdowns when you want to anymore.

I just the noticed the change & i like it this way better! It makes it much quicker to comment on other members countdowns

Nice idea but I only have 1 problem with it. It is not a huge problem but a lot of countdown threads are getting bumped to the 2nd and even 3rd page rather quickly because there aren't as many threads on each page now.

Eh, it's not that big of a deal, unless there are a ton of lazy people out there. *cough*

I'm, actually, kind of surprised by this. I can remember this idea being brought up two years ago, during my whole spiel about the YTT forum, and I remember people being pretty divided over it.

Well, if other people don't mind, then I guess I don't mind, either.
