Hungarian musician Boggie (Csemer Boglarka) has created a beautiful and intimate music video for her song Nouveau Parfum that shows how women’s features and looks can be distorted by music video effects. As she sits and sings, a made-up video editing program goes over her face and makes gradually more noticeable changes. At the end, we are left with a Hollywood face that is drastically different from Boggie’s “real” face seen at the beginning of the clip. While the software used in the video is made up, the effects it shows can be achieved with a variety of different video editing programs.
Most of the effects are made by lighting and makeup tho. I get the point they're trying to make but this makes people think it's just that easy. And you can't 'photoshop' video...

I think you can, there's plenty of evidence on pop girl videos being edited to make them look slimmer, younger, prettier

That's not really photoshop, again it's mostly done my lighting and makeup. If you notice, this video is comprised of many different shots which is why they zoom in and out so much as to hide the fact that they're changing clips. Stuff like smoothing skin is usually just a blur they add to the color tone of the skin, that's fairly common like in Madonna's Gimme All Your Luvin. Prettier? Idk about that. Slimming is mostly done by lighting and costumes (or use of green screen to slim and retain a perfect background).

Slimming is done digitally too like The Edge of Glory or whatever video Gaga is on top of a car or something, I saw the screencaps of that edit somewhere.

I'm surprised you don't have the receipts on hand.

I know there's a video floating around from the editing room of Gaga in MTN but all they showed is how they digitally enhanced the fire. Idk about slimming. And for clarification I'm not saying it's impossible tho since they did it for Captain America, just that I doubt they use that much resource for a music video.
I mean most of this video isn't actually edited with software though - it's all makeup + lighting + different hairstyles edited together to look like it's being "photoshopped" like that.
This is not real. As others have said, this is make up, lighting etc.

Yes, people are photoshopped in music videos, gaga has been slimmed and made more bulky. But people do that for like 50 frames, nobody has time to photoshop an entire video to make eyelashes look thicker and hair in a different style, that's a waste of money. Did you notice how, when they photoshopped her eyes, and lip colour they still reversed it back onto the original color? that's because it would take to long to manipulate each frame.
This is my theory for what happened in this video:
1. She shot the scene 3-4 different times, each shot was with different lighting, make up and hair. They cross faded the frames and verified the opacity when necessary. You can see in the beginning where her hair is scruffy and he takes the eraser, the video jumps, that's because it's a completely different shot.
2. She looks ugly because of photoshop, they added bags onto her eyes artificially but only showed you the removal of what they already put on top.
Lastly I leave you with this. A similar video illustrating my point.
I have no idea what she's saying but it sounds like it's a beautiful song. I can't wait for a US pop star to be "inspired" by this video and essentially make it frame for frame within a year.
