August 2 Vanessa Hudgens
She will most likely be performing songs from her upcoming album which hits stores June 24th, 2008. Thanx to cookie~monster for bringing that info over
These seem like really low profile venues. They should've given her a arena or theater tour if she is touring. Or better yet, they should've let her open for Raven's new tour, instead of Mitchell Musso or B5.

LMAO. Vanessa doesn't need to be opening for Raven ... no offense.
If anything she needs to open for someone bigger whos last album actually sold some records, afterall Vanessa's last album out-sold Raven's last.
Hollywood Records obviously wants to see what type of crowds she can draw in on her own before actually giving her a headlining tour in arenas and such.
These 2 places can seat up to 6,000 people I believe, so we'll have to see what kind of numbers she can bring in.

While Ravens last album didnt do well, her tour did VERY well. Averaging 5 to 9,000 fans per show. So I'd say, Vanessa opening for Raven is a verrryyy good idea. This gets her more record sales in the long run, and plus, it's an arena tour for solo artists. It pratically screams promotion oppurtunity.

It really wouldn't be a good idea.
It would be really stupid for V to open for someone whos sold less records than her.
Hollywood Records obviously has something different planned for V which includes PROMO.
HR doesn't seem to care about Raven's latest project.
Raven's album is coming out in a month with NO offical single + Raven will be on tour when her album drops so when will she have time to go and do some TV promo?

She nowhere near ready for an arena tour, & a theater tour isn't a safe bet, if people aren't forgetting, she got most of her album sales before the scandal came out. Obviously Hollywood Records knows this, so their first testing the waters with fairs to see if she can carry it on her own.
I don't think she should open up for Raven either though...

Well, she opened for the Cheetah Girls, it's no different really. But yea, I guess it wouldnt be safe for her to actually tour. But fair venues are large as well.

But you, as well as I know that fair venues are MUCH cheaper than amphitheater, theater & arena venues. They're much more simple as well.
I just don't think she should open for Raven though, I don't even have a valid reason for thinking that she shouldn't but yeah, I don't think she should. lol

She opened for The Cheetah Girls in 2006 because @ the time they had the biggest disney channel movie and thier soundtrack was selling.
Also Vanessa wasn't as known as she was now when she opened for them.
Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana even opened for the other half of that Cheetah Girl tour when she wasn't as big a name yet ... so it's not really the same thing.

May I ask you a question? Where are you getting your tour numbers from? I'm not going to assume you are the same person that does the Raven thread over at Pulse but the person that started the thread over there said Raven's last tour averaged 2000-3000 people. How do you explain these drastic numbers?
And I hate to tell you this, but tours usually don't help album sales a whole lot. The reason most ar****ts tour is to make money. Most of the people attending the concerts are usually people familiar with the artists that most likely have the album.
Vanessa has no business touring with Raven, especially if she doesn't want to be known as a kid/tween musician. Raven is going to have a hard time establishing herself as an adult artist if she is headlining tours called the "Pajama Tour" with opening acts like Mitchel Musso from the Disney Channel.

When Raven was touring for "This Is My Time" I followed nearly every single number of fans that was released, I got my info from multiple sources, I even had a source that worked for Six Flags that gave me numbers from those concerts... All were above 2000 to 3000 people, they were some very large numbers, probably just on her name and not her album.
Neutrogena has a new video of Vanessa up on their website. She explains why she uses the Wave. Her hair looks really pretty in it. It almosts looks like she is in a tour bus or motorhome.
The Asian Excellence Awards is an annual celebration of the outstanding achievements of Asians and Asian Americans in film, television, music, and the performing arts. This year’s show, hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba and Bobby Lee, will reach a broad national televised audience with the premiere on E! Entertainment on May 1 at 6 p.m. ET/PT. The show will also be available on Comcast On Demand throughout the month of May in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
Its unknown if Vanessa will be making an appearance.
To appear on 'Idol Gives Back' special.

Idol hands-on-deck are Fox's playthings.
The network has unveiled a second impressive batch of stars who have signed on to appear in American Idol's second annual "Idol Gives Back" charity special next month, which will once again raise funds for U.S. and international causes.
Forest Whitaker, who appeared last year as well, will be back to make a plea for viewer donations, to be joined by Jennifer Connolly, Amy Adams and the network's own Kiefer Sutherland.
Robin Williams and Billy Crystal will also make guest spots on the one-night, two-hour special, along with fellow funnyman Dane Cook.
As Simon Cowell is so keen to remind contestants, American Idol is, above all else, a singing competition, and as such some impressive musically inclined stars have also joined the guest spot ranks. Friend of the show Celine Dion will appear, as will High School Musical stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
Idol alums Eliott Yamin and Fantasia have also signed on.
Earlier this month, Fox rolled out the guest star big guns, unveiling the first batch of A-list supporters to lend their celebrity to the worthy episode. Brad Pitt, Bono, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox, Snoop Dogg, Fergie, John Legend, Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry were revealed as participants.
Last year's inaugural event raised more than $76 million for a variety of charities at home and abroad, all of which benefit underprivileged and poverty-stricken children.
