Imo the only reason certain fans don't like it is because its not heavy-handed. If shes not making something as disjointed as Venus or half of Born This Way they think shes being cheap when its really the other way around.

The cheesy broadway vocals and vapid kitschy lyrics of Fashion! can be a turn off so I get why people don't like it. Everything outside that "looking good and feeling fine" hook and that amazing beat is pure kitsch, from her vocals to the lyrics.

Had she sung it with regular, 'cool' pop vocals, and made the song an universal anthem instead of a camp anthem about runways and fashion and mentioning cringy internet slang like "slay", it would've been universally liked, I'm sure of it. Lead single worthy, even

I never had any problems with Venus. They made the right decision in choosing Do What U Want as the single but Venus is a fine song that is solid and has interesting production. The only thing I haven't liked about it were the performances.

Right, like I don't think it's a bad song or anything. I just don't want it as a single and yes the performances for it have been pretty lackluster in my opinion.

I didn't like her outfit on The X Factor or whatever show it was, but I really liked the guitar intro a lot.
