Just listened to Pure Heroine. It's not a bad album, but her themes were repetitive at times. It's a manipulative album tbh. It has some weak, silly lyrics that she tries to disguise through the dark production and sometimes you actually believe that it's deep....but then you focus on what she's actually saying and realize that the lyrics are somewhat nonsensical. I like her voice though. She can definitely emote the meaning behind her lyrics. Her album is a grower, I think. But she definitely need a lot of time to develop her writing skills because her lyrics can get pretentious, nonsensical and a bit too much at times. She's on the right track, though.
