He's trying to have another hit like "I Like It" or "Tonight" but "I A Freak" and "Turn The Night Up" are really his worst singles. I will always support him and his music but i'm a little bit disappointed.
If this flops I think the album will be postponed another time. His last album "Euphoria" was released in 2010, I don't want wait anymore. I hope the ballad with Kylie Minogue will be release as single because it will help people to approach to his music again.
His last spanish songs are hits in spanish countries because they are better than english ones.

Would a ballad help people approach his music again?
We had multiple ballad releases between '02 to '08 all of which flopped, most worse than anything he's releasing currently. The only successful ballad he's had in English is 'Hero' and would that have been a monster hit if not for being seen as a post 9/11 anthem.
Interscope spent over a decade trying to replicate the success of that song and 'Bailamos' when they were to a great degree dependant on the trends of the time at the expense of better material he had at the time.
You could argue that he's doing the same now and you'd have a point but the differences are that trying to replicate the success of a direction of his last album a few years ago is more understandable than trying to replicate a direction of something kinda successful ten years ago. Also we're not getting any signs from Enrique that he's dissatisfied with his current direction which had during a large part of those Interscope years.
I guess if you boil it down he's at least getting low level success with his current singles with very little push which is better than most of his Seven and Insomniac singles most of which didn't make the charts at all - I'd argue some success is better than none at all. (There's also the possibility that with a significant push something could catch on)
Honestly I don't think it matters anyway. If you look at the sales of his last five albums they've all opened with and sold overall very similar numbers despite all being very different albums, with different languages, some had huge promo others had practicaly none, some had no hits, one had a moderate hit and one had a smash. I'd argue the upcoming album will end up the same regardless of how well 'I'm a Freak' does
Also I'm eager to hear 'Beautiful' but I'd imagine it'll be a similar EU exclusive release to 'Heartbeat' which was also a ballad featuring someone known in the US but only really does well overseas. If it is a really excellent song then I'd be all for taking a risk releasing it in the US but I'd be more up with having a different ballad featuring a quintessential American act to act as counterpoint release in the US.
