Katy Perry, Taylor Swift Top Red Carpet Chatter Online

According to social media analytics firm TLL, which tracked fashion-related tweets from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Jan. 26, Valentino was the most mentioned designer on Twitter, thanks to Katy Perry's melodic white dress. The embroidered tulle ensemble from the spring 2014 couture runway featured musical notes on its ball gown skirt (designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were inspired by the opera La Traviata). "It’s musical for music’s biggest night," said Perry, who added Ivy diamond earrings and rings.
The second hottest fashion name on Twitter was Gucci, who dressed Taylor Swift in what she called a "chain mail" gown. "I think it's bulletproof," she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. "It's really heavy. It's all of the things you would expect it to be, like a suit of armor." Gucci also dressed best new artist nominee Ed Sheeran.
Rounding out the top five designers was Ralph Lauren for suiting Madonna and her son David, Emilio Pucci for helping an expectant Ciara dazzle, and Giorgio Armani, who outfitted Robin Thicke in a slick suit and Alicia Keys in an Armani Prive cobalt silk jersey column, finished with a Swarovski-crystal-beaded belt.
