The classic nature vs nurture debate. I like psychology! Anyway, I don't believe people are born evil. I think many people are evil as a result of something tragic that happened to them. I know this isn't the case all the time, but it seems like it is most of the time. I don't really have an explanation for evil people who have never experienced anything tragic, but I don't think they were born that way.

Yes. Evil is the only explanation for some of the crimes people are capable of.

I believe some people are just born to be evil and there's nothing you can do to stop them, but they're a minority and most are products of their environment. My brother and I grew up in the same environment, around the same people and with the same ****** experiences yet we couldn't be more different. Even when he was in elementary school he was evil and when I say evil I don't mean he was simply a difficult child, I mean he literally had a heart full of evil and hatred even at that age.

No. Intro psych teaches that when someone commits an evil act, it's either a result of past experiences or the power of the situation they were placed in. That doesn't mean the act should be excused, but it does mean that we shouldn't consider the criminal a "bad person" by nature.
