Pepcé and to an extent Katé relied on the boring, clichéd "sex sells" approach, whereas Lorde was dull. Madead is old so no one cares.
The females were not bringing it. It's a shame, someone like Emeli would have had critics and the GP alike applauding with her relatable and acclaimed 12x UK Top 10 hits.
At least she takes home 1x Grammé for her Urban Contemporary album
(she provided the most Urban/Contemporary material so the Grammy half-belongs to her really)
