That's what I thought. I felt so bad that night, she came due to all of her nominations and didn't even perform or present
And what's the story behind that gif? haha I've always wondered.
My explanation for it was that she just came off performing "Speechless" and she was still emotional in that performance. But only god knows the real reason why.
If she could pull off a Stevie meets Alanis meets Florence meets Alicia, and deliver a R&B/rock/indie/pop/blues album of personal songs etc. she'd be laughing. No synths or disco drums, all band instruments and vocally driven with harmonies and backing singers. Really show off.
Totally here for this! This is exaclty what she should do after ARTPOP!
When the TEOG video premiered I invited half of my class to my house to see it. When it ended... I kept saying that that was just a recorded perfomance as a trailer to the real video. We waited hours for the real video to get uploaded. IT WAS EMBARRASSING
I'm crying

I would love if she did that on an awards show (looking more normal )
Sounds like Cheek to Cheek will be out in Q4, so that'll be 2016 Grammys, which means she can get out a new album to qualify for 2015 Grammys and not risk having to compete against herself for nominations/wins. Which is good.
If she can get out a fresh, personal album of pop/R&B/rock/blues...she might actually stand a chance.

Wouldn't Cheek to Cheek be in another category than her next album anyway? I don't see why that would be bad.
