Heartbreaking video, but I'm proud of her for going through with this. I can only imagine how scary that would have been.

It's a certain amount of time you have to file a lawsuit after your eighteenth birthday. It can also refer to a patient that realizes the effects that the sexual assault had on them. How the law figures out if they're telling the truth is beyond me.
It's not strictly sexual abuse though. There are statues of limitations for almost everything. ie. medical malpractice. If your doctor does something wrong you can't sue him/her three years after the injury. I think it's mostly in place to avoid people who were okay with a situation and then suddenly decided that they wanted the money. It has its pros and cons.
I'm glad she exposed this woman!
