It's without a doubt in my mind that the biggest pop culture moments of 2013 were the release of the music video for Wrecking Ball and the release of Beyonce's visual album in December.
Both events took social media and television networking by storm, yielding millions of internet searches and tremendous media coverage on every outlet imaginable. Cyrus scored her first #1 single with sales of over 477K, giving her one of the best digital sales weeks of the year. BEYONCE topped iTunes charts in over 110 countries and Beyonce scored her biggest opening week ever in the US with over 600K sold in 3 days.
So, what's ATRL's perspective? Which event was truly bigger and will be more remembered in the future?
