Absolutely not. Austin's being locked out of teenage girls' hearts by 1D. The exact same thing happened to Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance, etc. during the heights of Bieber Fever.

Austin is not going to be able to be 1D's equal, let alone replace them. Teen idols generally cannot co-exist, with only the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC being able to do so. Remember, when 1D broke out, people thought they would be Bieber's equal rival rather than run his career to the ground.

Additionally, the GP want no part of another teen male singer like Bieber. With how much everyone hates him, the concept of another Bieber is going to turn the GP off.

I don't really like him or find him that interesting. What About Love was a good song but didn't really take off. I think he has to go back to the drawing board and figure out who he wants to be as an artist. He needs a new creative team.

Teen artists can coexist. There's always the ying the yang. In that one has the bad it rougher image and the other the nice clean cut image. So if Austin can replace Justin he can make it.
