I'm still struggling trying to love all of the songs. So far I only like "Aura", "Venus", Swine", "ARTPOP", and "G.U.Y.".

ARTPOP's production is a little bit more complicated (and at times messy) than TFM, which makes it quite a bit harder to handle. That's why people think it's "noisy"

That would imply ARTPOP has a song as good as Dance in the Dark.

It doesn't.

I have always preferred the fame to the fame monster (nothing on tfm is as good as papparazzi to me. And I have always preferred gaga's more fun side in general).
But what I will say about the fame monster is that it was cohesive and seemed more organic than any of her projects since then. She was trying SO hard on ARTPOP and I respect her passion, but it just made everything seem so forced. Like she decided what she wanted the album to sound like before she started writing and just seeing what flowed naturally out of her. So then she had to fit everything into this abstract, and increasingly convoluted as time goes by, idea of 'art' and the results are messy.
Having said that, dwuw is better than anything on tfm to me and it makes me wish the whole album had gone in that sort of direction.

Don't be a Grammy-style flop, sis, and jump to claim art at the most recent female singer-songwriter who "breaks the mould." Alanis did it in the 90s. Norah did it in the 00s.

No, The Fame Monster is a great album with a great concept, sound and lyrics. ARTPOP is very hit and miss...

I got bored of ARTPOP, honestly, the only tracks I still really listen to are Venus, Mary Jane Holland, Gypsy, ARTPOP, and G.U.Y., The Fame Monster still is fresh and interesting to listen to.

Nothing on ARTPOP comes close to touching the euphoric highs of TFM, such as SHICD. TFM was a lot, lot more than BR.
