Welp... I'm not too surprised. I knew that people would think that taking a horror classic and making it a big action film was a mess. I saw that trailer in theaters and people were laughing after it ended... it's just a stupid idea and Hollywood really needs to stop trying to make old things new by changing them up a lot.
i saw it last night. it wasn't bad at all. it also wasn't great. it was still entertaining. however, the concept isn't really something that would draw huge crowds. gargoyles vs. demons with frankenstein's monster thrown into the mix? but my future husband jai courtney was in it... :]
saw this trailer today when I was waiting for JLAW to SERVE acting skills in American Hustle and I thought this was so messy and boring and NOT gonna happen.
Here in México it's flopping too, i saw it yesterday because of my work and what a mess, the plot doesn't have sence neither the Frankenstein reference.
When the clients ask me which movie should they see, i suggest Captain Phillips or About Time.
