Imagine if Edge was the lead single for BTW. The song would have exploded so much bigger than BTW, which could have still been the title of the album and been the last single released.

Hair and Judas could have been the two promo singles.

Second single (Week before album drops) = MTN (with a video that cuts out the first 8 mins of the one we got).
Third Single (August 2011) = ScheiBe (imagine the VMA performance).
Fourth single (Late October 2011) = HML (All the Q4 promo: X-Factor, EMAs, The Voice, etc).
Fifth single (Q1 2012) = BTW (possibly do a Grammy performance mash-up with BTW and other hits from the album from the past year).
Sixth single (April 2012) = You and I (radioplay only, no MV, minimal promo. Keep Gaga on US radio while she tours heavily internationally)

Watching the culture show interview and immediately I'm annoyed by the typecasting by all Gaga fans as being the bullied freaks of society. That was such a wrong, wrong thing she did with BTW.



I've said this before and I'll say it again but TEOG as a lead single from Born This Way would have had a Roar/WFL-type effect and overshadowed the other material, except the slayage would have lasted for 7 months and killed off every other single in the era.
