I think Lorde deserves it more, really, but if we're being honest and dropping the shade, Katy deserves a Grammy as much as many of the pop stars who already have one.
Should Katy have received a Grammy by this point in her career? Probably.
But based on recent work, it's no comparison. Katy's done nothing Grammy worthy recently while Lorde made a name for herself, released a beautifully written and thought-provoking album at the age of 17, and had a massive hit single. Katy still seems to be lost in a world of visuals that only a five year old would find amusing at their birthday party.
Katy is trying a long time and next year is impossible because of Beyonce and Adele. Roar doesn't deserve win (Royals cleary has a better production and lyric), but Katy can't lose this oportunity.

Katy's music is too bubble gum and childish to be deserving of a Grammy. Tbh Lorde kind of deserves it more since her sound was more mature which is a biT embarrassing cause she was 16 years old
