I think a big part of a song being considered a 'classic' is having lasting recurrent play and crossover appeal to the AC formats. Katy really has managed to wrap in the AC formats and boast a lot of recurrent play. I think 10 years from now there will be more of Katy's discography remembered than you think.

Only one Katy song really has the potential to be considered a "classic" down the line so far into her career and that's "Teenage Dream"
