I'm not sure if this is what you meant by raw, but I too like her subtle makeup better.
I like both. the first is the real ****ing Gaga. I appreciate rawness, and find her beautiful regardless of how much makeup she tacks on and how many wigs she wears. the costumes and absolutely crazy outfits are more artsy or statement-making, and I appreciate and am intrigued by that as well. but this beauty pageant stuff is so weird. in all of these photos her face is awfully pale and then completely layered in makeup...
