They are basing this on GOOGLE SEARCHES and as they said, more and more people are using Facebook on their smartphones and are not searching for it on google
Facebook is not likely to be unpopular by 2017. I know younger people prefer the likes of Tumblr, Instagram & Twitter to Facebook, but I don't see any of those overtaking Facebook. Unless something else comes along and improves upon what Facebook did, like when Facebook crushed Myspace, then it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
I deactivated my facebook back in 2011 and never looked back... I've had moments of weakness where I'd reactivate the service but each time I'd regret it
I stopped using it after high school and for the most part feel like I'm better off. But I feel like it's so integrated into our lives I'd be surprised if it really died off that much by 2017. I had courses in college and an internship where we were basically required to use Facebook to set-up group chats and stuff
The one thing I like about Facebook is easy access to new tracks by my faves in the news feed (EDM producers that churn out hits on the daily!). There's no other platform out there that makes it that easy to discover and share new tracks via status updates. Maybe they will all just move over to IG. Idk idc
