My mom use to love this song until I learned the lyrics.
We have a home video of a young me in a rocking chair singing this song + Don't Tell Me by Madonna. It's just such a catchy song and Tina's rough vocals add so much power and emotion into it. I just live it- such a classic.
Better Be Good to Me - 10
YES! If people could have anthems, this would be on my playlist. It's like a definition of new wave rock and I LIVE for it. Her voice commands so much power and really captures the listener in a way that not too many songs are capable of doing. I can't help but wanna dance around the house acting like I'm in a big finale musical number in an 80s movie.
Private Dancer - 10
This is one of those songs that you learn to appreciate as you mature. I didn't like this song that much back when I was a kid, but today it's one of my favourites. The lyrics, production and emotional vocals are everything. It's chilling and magical all at the same time.
We Don't Need Another Hero - 8.5
Makes me want to get out a lighter and sway side to side. Despite being the theme for a terrible movie, I love this song.
Typical Male - 3.5
The most foregatable song out of this selection. Honestly, there's not much to the song. The lyrics are on the brink of brilliant, but the lack of a good hook and chorus is kind of disappointing. I do, however, love the music video.
I Don't Wanna Fight - 9.6
I can't put my finger on why, but I love this song. It's soothing but fun at the same time. Like credits rolling at the end of a happy romance movie. The chorus makes me want to go out in the rain and spin around while dancing. Tina's vocals sound great against this melody!
Proud Mary - 10
I can't NOT give this a proper 10. It's a timeless classic.
I'd love it.
I'm not saying it's perfect but it's nothing she should be ashamed of
