Cops think they have so much power and it gets to their heads. Ugh. He wasn't doing anything. Just because he is black (not trying to start a race debate but it's true), he gets put in handcuffs and is frisked to the point of a rupturing testicle. Disgusting.
Wow. And the sad part is, if he would have tried to defend himself, they would have claimed "assault against an officer", and given her a reason to shoot him. This is just a lose/lose situation and it's very sad. I hope I never become a target of this ass wipe called law enforcement.
entire team of school basketball players, in school uniform, notice Cop is staring them down/giving dirty looks. someone on team makes snarky/rude comment, which is apparently justification to start pursuing the group. The group breaks out in a run, which Darrin immediately realizes, he does not need to run. He has done nothing wrong.
And at this point, the two officers who immediately got this Child on to the ground for some reason needed to call for I think I counted SIX backup cruisers. At one point in the video you can count like 10-12 cops on scene, for 1 child.
Child is handcuffed, and as 1 female officer on scene redirects foot traffic away, a separate female officer administers a pat down on this Male Child. at which point he believes he sustained these injuries, where he described feeling a pop and beginning to scream. The police report denies any claims that he was in pain, not on the scene and apparently not for the next 8 hours while this Child was kept in police custody. The PD cites that they have "pulled A female officer off duty," and officer they fail to identify, an officer that locals and witnesses have attested was NOT the female officer who actually performed the pat down. The following day he required emergency surgery, and is now seeking a lawsuit against what he, his family, and his lawyer believe was a violation of his civil rights (stopping him for no reason) and further for his sexual assault by a female officer. Now, the PD wants to say they will open an investigation, but hinge it upon a statement from the Child. Of course the Child wont give a written statement to the police while there are criminal charges against him for the same incident, and rightly so. This is where we see the PD's excuse that there have been "no formal complaint filed;" because the family will not do this until the charges against their Child are dropped. the PD will likely drop the IA, stating the reason as the Child not giving a written statement while his criminal charges are outstanding. This is a catch 22, and a slick move on the PD's part - securing their get out of jail free card, essentially.
so basically, the police are holding his family hostage from lobbing a formal complaint against them
