Sometimes there's a song you love but it just has that terrible / too long / annoying intro that you wish it didn't exist and skip all the time. Obviously skipping the intro manually only works for a few times, then you get lazy and end up not listening that song at all.
Well don't worry because I've just discovered the solution to this problem. It's a feature of iTunes that I'm sure most of you didn't know about and it's super easy!
For this tutorial and as the perfect example of what I'm talking about we're going to make Aura's intro disappear (I'm sure you all agree with me that that intro completely ruins the song). Well what we have to do:
1) Open your iTunes by clicking on its icon (
)
2) Find the song you want to edit, click on it with the right button and then click on "Get info"
3) Go to the "Options" tab and you'll find:
The important thing here is
(2) you have to mark the "Start" box and then enter the time code you want the song to start. In this case the time code shown in the picture works perfectly for Aura. When you have finished click on the OK button
(3) to save and leave.
4) That's all. From now on every time you play the song it will start from the modified time!
NOTES:
*Notice that this way you don't edit permanently the song. It's not like you've cut it with an audio editing progam. The song remains all its length and the process can be reversed any time. No massacres needed!
*Notice that using the same method you can also get rid of endings if you want, just editing the second time box.
