Love Windows 8 but I understand why they need to do this.
I was just helping a neighbour with picking out a new laptop last week and it was sooooo hard to find a Windows 7 laptop for a good price. She's in her 40s and I had enough trouble trying to teach her the basics of using 7, nevermind advising her to get a laptop that's Windows 8! She'd be so confused... people do NOT like change, even if it's for the better in the future.
Windows 8 is super simple and is essentially Windows 7, but there are a lot of people who just can't pick up technology and that metro screen is just too much of a small change for them to process. Anyone under 25 should be ashamed if they can't figure out Windows 8 but I really can't blame older people who just barely grasped the idea of Windows XP/Vista/7.
