The only purpose of mentioning that piracy existed in the 80's was simple that - to inform piracy existed in the 80's. The quote was "When piracy
WASN'T around"
If I wanted to argue piracy i would argue the effort it took to purchase music, that it was more expensive and that a single came with an average of 3 tracks, but this thread isn't about that.
Of course I take the list I provided seriiously, The list I provided shows the most sucessful artists on the charts since the charts
began - That's a serious matter.
3% is an interesting number though, I'm being nice in saying that goggle play makes up 3 perecnt of the digital market.
