I'm glad to hear this tbh... I think she will really benefit from a sound change. I don't see how it would be possible for her to out-do her best piano ballads (Someone Like You, Set Fire To The Rain etc).
I'd be so here for some electro-ballads, like Madonna's Ray Of Light era.
Pretty much what Cap10 said. I doubt she'll abandon her sound but this next album is just going to be a happy one hence why it will shock people. People know her for her sad ballad songs and this album should hopefully change that
