Mine starts pretty fast so I shut it down

I close it and it goes into sleep mode. So when I need need to use again again all I have to do it open it and click a button and everything is ready. I NEVER close out my internet browser though. lol

I just hit the power button so that the screen turns off then close my laptop
I don't let if shutdown because I have gifs in another tab and if don't have the time to be looking for them
