It depends on the situation. If you're like, old and crusty, then hell yeah it matters!

Personally, someone older (maybe around 2-3 years) is a turn on to me. They're much more mature and "experienced"

Age isn't a huge factor but I prefer that he be less than 10 years older than me. I've been seeing this 32 year old and this having been going well. I prefer older guys because they're just more mature. I don't want a 18 or 19 year old who's going to be texting me like every 10 minutes and sending me pics of every little thing he does through out his day. They bring too much drama.
