2013 was a big year for Sandra Bullock. She released 2 hit movies including Gravity which grossed $677M becoming her highest grossing movie to date. Her role was met with acclaim even garnering her an Oscar nom (something rare for sci-fi movies). 2014 will see the return of Angelina Jolie as Disney villain Maleficent. This is her 1st major movie since 2010 and the trailer already has nearly 10M views. The budget for the film is estimated at $200M so it will need to make a lot just to break even. Will Maleficent the self proclaimed "Mistress of all Evil" be enough to take on Dr Ryan Stone?
After seeing the trailer, probably not but I don't care. Angelina is so above the entertainment industry (hence why she keeps making lists alongside women with actual power like Queen Elizabeth & Michelle Obama), these movies are just side projects for her. I predict a 600 million dollar gross.
