Hateretha Franklin is a glorified church singer who never made it outside of a few hits that no one that matters cares to remember. She never reached outside of the US in the way her peers did and she certainly didn't sale as much as them.
She is not the blueprint for R&B because she isn't even the beginning or the best of the genre.

Its not about about being global, she is credited with being the blueprint of r&b singers. Respect was very influential. She blended gospel with jazz, pop etc. There is a reason she was honored by the rock and roll hall of fame.
