Beyoncé and Jay Z have been confirmed as performers at this year's Grammy Awards.

The superstars will take to the stage during the first hour of the awards show, which will take place at Los Angeles' Staples Centre on January 26.

The performances were confirmed during a commercial for the 56th annual ceremony on the show's network CBS in the United States.

Beatles stars Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were recently confirmed to perform, along with the likes of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Lorde.

Daft Punk will also perform with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, while Robin Thicke, Metallica, Lang Lang, Pink and Nate Ruess will take to the stage.
