That might not seem like a big deal to us because we're older, but that means she'll grab a brand new group of fans. Plus, HWR isn't good at promo, but Disney Channel is so she'll be doing interviews, photoshoots, etc. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of her songs are on the soundtrack for her show or if Disney Channel starts playing Replay/doing commercials for her album on a loop once her stuff starts getting promoted. Again that might not seem like a lot to us but must of the time little kids and their parents only know about things through watching the actual channel and not through the internet like we do. I would say that most of the younger kids/their parents don't even know Zendaya has an album yet, because it hasn't been promoted on Disney Channel, and right now that's still her biggest fanbase. I would say that that is ONE of the many factors as to why the album didn't do very well.

Actually, I check out a lot of Disney Channel and they support their artists but only if it's in their best interest. Like, they'll support Zendaya but only to help "Zapped" (her DCOM) be more popular, maybe make a sequel and get more money out of it.
So, things may go two ways, they either make Zendaya the Disney it girl and promote her and her music all the time or they treat her like the rest of their artists that still act on Disney (minimal promo, no love, etc.). Only time will tell
