When he first began dating Britney Spears in late 2009, Jason Trawick was undoubtedly a little overweight and in need of some discipline.
But evidently a superstar girlfriend and life in the spotlight was all the motivation he needed to shape up, with the celebrity agent shedding as much as 50lbs and going from flab to fab in a matter of months thanks to his new carb-free lifestyle and regular workouts.
However, it seems that once his relationship with the singer ended, so too did his healthy routine, as evidenced by the unflattering photos that have emerged of him indulging in greasy late-night food cravings just days ago.
With his new life as a carefree bachelor, the 42-year-old has been hitting the party circuit with a vengeance in the 12 months since splitting with Brit.
On Friday, following a night out in Hollywood, Jason stopped for some takeaway pizza as well as a bag full of fried chicken from Popeyes before calling it a night.
Seemingly unable to wait until he got home, he even helped himself to a slice which he happily noshed on as he walked through the deserted streets, clad casually in cuffed jeans, a simple tee and boots.
TMZ was the first to run the photos on Monday, dubbing the Mowhawked man 'gutsy' with his protruding belly on display in his rather snug-fitting grey T-shirt.
After spotting the unflattering news item, Jason used it as motivation to get back in shape, retweeting it along with a rather telling message.
'Thanks @tmz I needed this. Started my diet/workout program today. C u in a month!' he wrote with an accompanying selfie that showed him pulling his shirt up and sticking out his rather rounded stomach.
Of course, Jason isn't the only one of Britney's exes to have piled on the weight in the wake of their relationship ending.
Kevin Federline, who was famously his lady love's fighting fit backup dancer when they got together in April 2004, has also endured an ongoing struggle with his waistline.
After their marriage ended in November 2006 - following two years and two children together - the 35-year-old really let himself go.
He attempted to lose weight as part of two reality shows - America's Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp in 2010 and Australia's Excess Baggage a year later.
While he did shed an impressive 30lbs on the first series, he was quick to gain it back, thus turning to the overseas version for additional help.
At the time, he admitted he was encouraged to do something about his ballooning weight after seeing photos in which he 'looked pregnant'.
'It was upsetting... People [were] calling me "K-Fat". I had to do something about it,' he said.
With his weight continuing to fluctuate over the years, late last year the soon-to-be father-of-six signed on as a spokesperson for The Fresh Diet as he vowed to get back to looking his best in the New Year.
The notorious yo-yo dieter has previously found success with the program, dropping 50lbs in July 2013 after signing up to the gourmet delivery system, though once again he put it back on soon after.
