So today my car officially stopped working after so many problems. Literally but i'm kinda happy. So I'm gonna share my ratchet car stories.
Most recently I had to pick up my friend for work and stopped to get a bagel and my car left me and wouldn't turn on despite being turned on 5 seconds before
Another time it left me at work and all the other servers were parked near me, it was christmas day and my car was not turning on, we all smiled each other and i pretended that my car was on because I was not gonna hold someone up for a jump on CHRISTMAS so i just smiled back . The worst part of all this is that my mom bought the ****** car for $1500 just because she was tired of picking me up from work but I was only 17 (18 now)!

My Bionic era has begun

Idk if that would classify as ghetto. More like a problem BUT I have seen someone pull up at work with a plastic bag in place of a window (rear passenger) for the last year on their car. Also people who "modify" their cars with other model car parts (IE a escalade front on a Nissan Titan) Fugly and horrendous. AND people with the different colored (darker, lighter) car parts on the car.

The alternator in my mom's car decided to stop working right in front of my school. So embarrassing.

My first car was rachet, but I don't care because I paid for it myself. Any who, I bought it in 10th grade for $1500 and after having it for 3 years it started cutting off randomly while I was driving. I remember stopping at a stop light and my car shut the **** off, and it was like 4 PM so rush-hour (). It eventually a couple of months later, and I sold that **** to the junkyard for $300.

Every time it rains or whatever my carpets get SOAKED

I'm going to revive this thread real quick. My car...whoo lawd. The winter has not been pretty to it.

I'm pretty sure the fuses to my radio and dashboard are ready to go out. My radio sometimes turns on and off randomly. It becomes more frequent when I hit a bump. This has been happening for about 2 months now. My dashboard, within the last 2 weeks, decided it wanted to act a mess too. Now sometimes when driving the dashboard just stops working and I have to guess how fast I'm going or when I'm going to run out of gas. It works perfectly fine when I turn the car off and then back on, but ain't nobody got time for that when driving on the expressway.

Now TODAY...my gear shift wouldn't move out of park. I sat in the parking lot for over an hour trying to trouble shoot this damn thing. I had to stick an auxiliary cable into this hole that overrides the brake shift interlock just so I could move my car out of park. Whoo lawd. I want to be so done with my car, but I love it. It's like that bratty child you want to give up for adoption, but you would never because you love it too much.

Sorry. I just needed to rant and let some feelings out. Today has been a long day for many reasons and some of them are car related.

Luckily I don't have a ghetto car. I drive a 12 year old car, but it only has 68,000 miles on it. Thank God!!
