Yes it does.

The date listed on the profile is the date the account was created. All accounts have user ID numbers and profiles whether or not they're approved - unapproved ones are just in a different usergroup for "pending" members and/or banned.

Regardless of approval or not, the join date is the date of account creation, not the date an admin approved them.

There are members that joined on Jan. 5th. Athens approved some of them until the 7th.

I don't particularly get why people would want to use those kinds of edited images, but to me it doesn't seem like it would hurt anything. Just make sure it's used appropriately with the topic at hand. As in, using that example, only use it for anything Britney topic related. Just make sure it doesn't say something like Godney or it can be warned for nicknames.
