The whole "ur entitled 2 ur own opinion/FREEDERM OF SPEEUCH" argument about this has always remained a mystery to me. Sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. At what point has anyone contested that? An opinion can still be bigoted and/or irrational, and pointing out this fact does not make one intolerant or anal.
"Like, just saying, I disagree with black people being free. Like, I have black friends! and obviously like, they can do their thing. But just, privately, I don't really agree with the whole black-and-free lifestyle."
Do you see how ridiculous this sounds? Do you see how, despite being passive bigotry, it's still bigotry? Now, obviously slavery is far far worse than not being able to marry the person you love - but the principle is the same. One group of people not receiving the same rights as others due to something that harms no one and which they can't change.
So YES, I would say your friend is homophobic. She believes Gay people should not have the same rights as straight people on entirely irrational grounds - and that's what a phobia is, irrational fear.
