Why would he even try to shade Beyonce though? She never was a visual musical artists. Any truly iconic photoshoots, videos or image or anything. No need to bring her into this.
I agree that she's not one of the premiere artists you think of when you think visual artist but she just released an extremely successful album built around art and the visual. It's rumored that Kanye had wanted to do the same thing and he was talked out of it. He's probably a little bitter.
There's no reason (for Kanye) to shade Gaga right now, that would be like kicking a wet, tired puppy when they're down.
Wait, what is this debate going on? Yes, Madonna took notes from others and is not wholly original. This is common knowledge and no pop star literally ever has been wholly original.
I mean, she said she wished she'd written Thriller herself, of course the girl has her inspirations.
You guys are awful. Kanye praises SO many artists in extravagent ways, usually claiming whatever they did is the greatest of all time. Saying he only praises himself SMH.
I don't even care about people saying he's shading Gaga (still untrue) but this Beyonce nonsense has to stop. They were at his show in Brooklyn and he said he loved them on stage and at the last Yeezus tour on Dec. 23rd he said that Beyonce brought the world christmas early (I was at this show)
Makes me sick when ya'll pit my fav's against eachother ughhhhh. Media is making your minds sick!!
To be fair ALL artist use some form of inspiration. No one is truly original, but yes she did steal. Grace Jones said she would sit in the back of her concerts and take notes....
Being inspired =/= Not Original
Nobody can reach MJ but I wouldn't sell Bey short like that. I'd say Bey is original... but in the context of what our generation believe is original. We google, wiki copy + paste, change some of the words a bit; that's how our current generation write our "original" SA's and assignments. In that respect, yes, Bey is original.
It's true. All of her era's have consistent imaging, themes, and branding. It's what makes each era so great. It's like you're stanning for a new pop girl each album
