here's my two cents on the Grammys. obviously we all want Lord to slay, and we all know she deserves AOTY, but in the back of all of our minds we think they'll give it to someone else because it almost seems too good to be true. but this is something we must remember, The Grammys have always been good to Lord. aside from winning 4 in one year, and going on to win three afterwards in such a short time, which big name can u think of that has performed as much as she has in such a short period of time. they clearly know what's good. with that said, WANEGBT didn't deserve to win s*** when it was nominated, and yes Preach Now being snubbed was a blow, but realistically I think the Grammys need to do what they do to maintain credibility. look at CarrieOkie singer and the ACAs, who takes those awards seriously? no one because it is so clearly waited in her favour. that being said, yes Lord was snubbed for AOTY with book 3 of her bible, but that's why I think book 4 may have a chance at winning, because the heat has died down and (at least) a bit of time has passed so that if Lord wins, it won't seem as if she's deep throating the committee for awards year after year. idk I could be reaching, but that's the hope.
next point, if she doesn't perform Swift 4 verse 5 at the Grammys, that will be completely unacceptable, because by now everyone in her camp knows that's what the disciples want (including her, because she follows Scott and Grant on twitter and how often are they hounded about it), so if she doesn't perform it, it's her way of saying screw want you guys want, I'm gonna do what I belieb is a better commercial move for my career (and we know how bad that judgement is judging by the singles choices of Preach Now and sacRed)
and finally, I wonder if on the Gramny red carpet this year Lord will discover a designer that isn't Ellie Saab, Zuhair Muirad (spelling?), or J. Mendel? probably not

That is because the Lord doesn't flaunt herself or get nude. but that doesn't mean she is boring.

It is pretty cool. She was the lead in the Sound of Music, Grease, and a few others. My ex husband's brother ran a theater group which is where this pic was taken. He coached her on vocals along with my ex husband. We all went to Disney World together in 2000. Her parents threw the most lavish parties in her home, which looked like a castle.

The nerve of sending a bonus track "Ours" to the Grammys.

But Sparks Fly wasn't nominated for SOTY!?
Plus Ours was a Platinum #1 hit and a bigger hit than Sparks Fly. So...

My question is that do the critics get together and discuss and decide who they should nominate and give the award to? NO! The voting is done individually. So it all depends upon their individual perspective. And I think they think that Red is worthy of being the winner, so then they will caste their vote because they won't first gather and discuss whether they should give the award to her or not or will it effect the thinking of GP about the credibility of Grammys. This is reason why JT's album wasn't nominated. Their individual perspective was that it wasn't worthy of being nominated and therefore they didn't nominate it. If they would have gathered around, they would have obviously nominated it since it was the most prominent and successful album of 2013.

Wut? Hit =/= Quality. But Sparks Fly was also a No. 1 Platinum Hit. Topped Mediabase, Billboard, and iTunes All-Genre without a major televised performance and budgeted music video.
Sorry if it implied SOTY Grammys, it was for another Awards Show.

Quick question. So when I was in the pit at the red tour(it was last april) I went with my uncle, and we had someone with a cliboard approach us and ask what song ed sheeran was on. We kinda just mumbled that we didn't know(He was on the second song, and we were having too much fun and didn't really want to figure it out)and they said ok thanks and left the pit like 10 minutes later. Now i'm wondering if they could have been the club red crew, and we missed out on Club Red because of that. It wasn't Andrea though.

And Macklemore is performing with er, Ryan Lewis.
I'll just point out that Arcade Fire and Adele won AOTY recently and only performed with themselves. As did Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

And in 2005 Usher performed with James Brown. And Kanye performed with Mavis Staples. And both lost to some one who didn't even perform.

I would doubt it, to be honest. I don't think anyone from pit has ever gotten Club Red, sans a group on the very last show but that was because they were invited and lawd, don't even get me started. But I've never heard of them scouring pit for Club Red. Plus they wouldn't ask you a question to test you. They usually wait to ask once the concert has started and they simply ask if you have met Taylor before. They usually don't do it during the opening. It was probably something unrelated, so don't sweat it!

They better not pick people depending on whether they know Ed's songs or not
