Hung Up pushed the album to 10-12 million copies worldwide (I've heard 12m but I'm not sure if its reliable), in only the first few months it sold 6.3 million copies because of how hard the single was slaying. Reciepts: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4865716.stm
It was an absolute mega smash, only in the US it was merely a hit (outsold We Belong Together though!). It doesn't surprise me some here would try to discredit its success since most of ATRL is from America and they didn't experience how that song was ****ing SLAYING in late 2005/early 2006. It was an anthem, heard it on TV, in clubs, in restaurants, out of random cars, at parties, etc. Absolute smash and one look at the chart positions are all the receipts you need.
Agreed. She was EVERYWHERE back then, I think she sold my country's biggest venue out twice (over 100k people came to see her so not only the Amsterdam gays like on MDNA). Did Confessions outsell Emancipation in the end?
I love the episode 5 I think it is. Where she says that why anybody wanted to not be the best and after that there's a Just Dance remix slayage performed @ a club.

Yesss I just went through all of them tonight, her brand was so new and so easily enjoyable by anybody at the time.
I just finished House of Cards tonight! It's so good—especially Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright's performances. It's amazing how much they can make me care about such detestable characters. I can't wait for season two.
