It's funny to think about how Mariah just "disappoints" these days, yet her performances are better than so many others. She set a bar so high that even she can go past it anymore. But I don't care. No one expects her to have that voice she had in her prime for her whole life. I just wish she would stop trying. She still slays so much just as she is. She went from being the girl with superhuman vocals to the girl with amazing vocals. Like... So many girls these days aren't even at Mariah's lowest point. So I do wish she would just sing like a new Mariah and leave the young Mariah in the past. The Art of Letting Go indeed.

The recording academy doesn't seem to like her very much, so I doubt this is true.
She performed there before and has won awards (though not nearly as many as she deserved). This is business and if it fits (she'd have a huge platform and they would have her big stage comeback to hype) I can see it happen.
