I don't see anything where he explicitly said something homophobic? All he said was that he admired the way the guy's family was close + that later tweet about how he doesn't respect everything about him/the family.
Maybe someone needs to explain it a bit more clearly to me. While I don't think that having prejudices like racism/sexism/homophobia can be passed as "just opinions", I do think people have their own right on whether or not those prejudices automatically de-merit everything else about a person. Unless they're like horribly racist/sexist/homophobic/etc., but like I said, it's a persons choice on whether it de-merits the offender and how much discrimination they can accept (personally, I decide on a case-by-case basis, but while I do tend to distance myself a bit from people like that, if they have redeemable qualities, I won't completely shut them out).
