Female pop stars.

Male pop stars aren't thought to be gay most of the time, it's only a few certain ones that get that.

Male pop stars can get success very easily and appeal to a wide audience, whilst female pop stars are only "for the females and gays".

However, males are more constricted in what they can do. They can't change their image or musical style in the same way female pop stars can.

Sexism in the industry exists, male artist have alot more freedom to express themselves and still dodge ridicule where as female artist recieve alot of backlash for it.

Females, as of recently seems to be doing better though my fave Bruno is ontop

Along with all other aspects that play a MAJOR role (the sexism is real with "talentless ****" comments etc.) simply because pop girls usually get more exposure at the moment than male pop stars do.

Females overall, but I would argue that is simply because female popstars tend to push societal norms in ways that males don't have to in order to appeal to the GP. Tbh males may have it worst to some extent if you factor in that almost all the major male popstars do the same thing, and when they don't they really don't get that much attention, look at Adam Lambert.

Females, definitely.

The biggest double standard I can think of is Maroon 5. They objectify women and have highly sexual music videos, and they don't write their music as a band, and their music is generic and bland as ****. But people love them.

People are MUCH quicker to judge females than males. Insults are thrown without a second thought.
