I seriously don't get why people are making this a matter of having a right to an opinion. Sure she has the right to say this, but if people want to know whether it's a choice you can ask a gay living in say Iran where he/she would get HUNG in a public square or stoned by several people to death. WHY in earth would someone want that??? Just because sexual orientation isn't a visible difference like skin or hair colour that doesn't make it something you want or choose.

I can't even comprehend how some people think it's a choice. Like, it's not normal practice to physically choose who you're going to fall in love with or be attracted to.

So you are saying that if I tell a friend I don't agree with him sleeping with multiple women and taking advantage of them, or cheating on his partner, that somehow I am afraid of them. It is possible to disagree with someone's lifestyle and still like the person. It is not that hard to understand. Please go back to school. And @ LOL your definition of homophobia. This is another stupidity that I've seen being used a lot recently for some reason. Homophobia is the irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals according to dictionaries. Why do basic people think that tacking on -phobia onto the end of something means that it only has to do with fear?? Funny that you tell me to go back to school. Photophobia refers to discomfort and/or pain induced to the eyes as a result of light. Are you telling me that because the word has the suffix -phobia at the end, someone with photophobia has eyes that are afraid of light ? Alternatively, are you saying that a bunch of educated, scholarly scientists + doctors that agreed upon this word are wrong?

Lastly, those examples you listed are not synonymous to what she said. The examples you listed are all actions you are in control of. Your friend can CHOOSE to not be promiscuous or cheat.

I have a theory that anyone who calls being gay a chose is a suppressed gay. They think that everyone feels that and has to suppress it like they have to i.e. a choice.

Since we are going to dictionaries, the actual definition is "an extreme and irrational aversion to homosexuality and homosexual people." Does this include elements of discrimination, why yes it does. My point I was trying to make was does Sherry exhibit "extreme and irrational aversion" to homosexuals. From this interview, I don't see that. I also don't see her discriminating against homosexuals here either.

Again, you are just nitpicking. You know what I was saying was that just because you don't agree with someone and what they do doesn't mean you hate them. The reason I said lifestyle is because they are living a lifestyle. They love the same gender and marry the same gender. I live a straight lifestyle in that I love women and hope to marry a woman. It is not that hard to grasp.
