male pop stars are mostly respected and the GP hold them in a higher regard in terms of trusting them to release "decent" music as it's the guys who can actually sell albums whereas females have been ditched (excluding Adele) and are only used for their bops.

There's a difference between male pop stars. You have category Timberlake and category Bieber.
Timberlakes are praised and loved by the GP (Timberlake, Mars) but Biebers are hated and if you like him, '' you're a braindead stupid tasteless girl'' or ''gay''. Not my words inb4 I get a WP, but many people think like that. I think Chris Brown was in the same category as Bieber.
Pop girls don't really have it hard tho. Bey not at least.
